Condition:

The canvas has a very old relining and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher.The paint surface is in very good condition. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals large areas of cosmetic retouching in the sky, in the lower right corner and in the building to far right. It should be noted these are not immediately visible to the naked eye and appear to be addressing some thinness to the paint, possibly following some surface clean. With the exception of some minor, isolated spots of cosmetic retouching in the sitting man with a cane in the foreground, the main composition appears to be virtually untouched.
